2006 + 2012 – Attorney Alexander Alfano of Coral Gables, FL; repeat offender, repremand + suspension
The state of Florida presented Alexander Joseph Alfano with a law license in 1993.
The Florida State Bar found Alexander guilty of the following misconduct.
Alexander’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree – 2003
Claudia Bernal hired Alexander to represent her in a H-1B visa and a labor certification. Subsequently, Alexander advised Claudia that he wouldn’t be available to attend a scheduled hearing in her case. He then told Claudia he had arranged for another attorney, Victor Abreu to attend the hearing and that she would have to pay additional funds to Victor to secure his attendance at the immigration hearing.
The problem with Abreu was that he wasn’t licensed to practice law in Florida, a fact well known to Alexander when he foisted the fool on her. Therefore, Alexander was guilty of assisting Victor in the illegal practice of law.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Alexander by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
Alexander’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree – 2012
Ruben Manrique, a citizen of Columbia who was in the U.S. on a visitor visa, hired Alexander to prepare and file an asylum application with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).
Immigration law requires for an asylum application to be filed within one year of the alien’s arrival in the U.S. Alex the Moron filed the application after the one year deadline, which resulted in the application being denied. Alex then filed an appeal; however, the Moron failed to file the required brief within the time allotted, which caused the appeal to be dismissed.
As a consequence of engaging in the same type of misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Alexander by gifting him with a complimentary 10-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. September 2012) Alexander practices at 2655 South Le Jeune Road in Coral Gables, Florida.
2015 – Involved in sale of FRB + FRN boxes with Ludwig Schneider + Dominique Behrens
